Now as humorous as this sounds, and its almost as funny as something you will hear by 13 year old kids on X-box Live, this my friend is illegal it is known to many court systems as "Defamation of Character". But it gets better, you go ahead and show without reasonable doubt that you have intent to find who this individual is, and who his online identity is, and slander his name some more. Even more so I can be considered libel if you broadcast it, or it becomes publicized enough. You my friend are pathetic.
You all need to learn what Spam tools are for. CAPTCHA's are in places and options for a reason. There are plenty of databases out there with millions of blog farm IP's to block.
Before you blame others, and call them out on allegations which you know nothing about any of the circumstances... Think.
If it's illegal, let's see David "Bompa" Benware take anyone to court. That would be like a drug dealer taking somebody to court for owing him money for drugs he fronted. I'll gladly step into a coutroom with him any day. Before you try to pretend you have a grain of intelligence on this matter, first, you must remember that there is always more to the story than meets the eye.
To begin with, Mr. Benware actively engaged in sabotage to destroy several of my website's search engine rankings through posting mass quantities of links pointing back at my websites from pornography blogs that he operates or has accounts on. There were over 300 phony blog posts with backlinks pointed at two of my sites, both lost serious rankings in Google until I contacted Google and let them know what was happening and they restored my site's rankings. No matter who how you try to justify it, it was the act of an sniveling little troll and not a real man.
As far as "13 year olds on X-Box live" - yeah, you mean like all those "black hats" at Syndik8 forum who use funny little usernames like "Bompa", etc... Come on, 13 years old? Bompa... 
The only person who could be considered "pathetic" might be you for seeing fit to defend a loser who stepped over the line and got his hand slapped. You think after 60+ years on this planet, the guy would get a clue and grow up and act his age. Any 13 year old can write a perl or php script that spams blogs. Whoopie, the guy figured out how to write a Perl/LWP or Perl/Expect scipt. Big deal... Stupid kids write IRC bots to DDOS servers, automate spamming and other garbage people such as myself get paid big money to defend against and in the end, they always lose. Just like the bad guys on TV. They always lose.
If Benware is so great, let's see him make a legit site or script and make money off it instead of playing teenager games with a bunch of kids. Furthermore, Are you his flunkie? a follower? a trained chimp ? Why not let him come speak for himself because quite honestly, this is getting a bit old and some of us have better things to do with our time than play childish games. |

You see, the "pathetic" thing is you try to reference knowledge you know nothing about. This is what I was clearly trying to express earlier with ronfrank.
The short end of the stick, sure the guy screwed your rankings Dave. You don't think big names in marketing don't do that to the small business? For instance the BMW de-listing that happened some time ago. C'mon now, don't kid yourself. Its a cut throat world. We all know the world doesn't care if your here or not, your a number. Sure if he was unscrupulous there is warrant to fix an issue with the search engines rankings. Which you mentioned were fixed. Problems solved at your end. Who cares, its fixed. This is what I was trying to say in my previous post, a fix is a phone call away.
My point was using a public forum to bash the hell out of someone. Clearly we missed that. But instead you have to be pretty ignorant for inciting that I am a follower/trained chip and or flunkie. I don't have to worry about being pathetic, nor do I have to show off my e-penis about "...myself get(ting) paid big money to defend against and in the end...". Super that you do, happy for you. You had an ounce of integrity, and you were not the one going post crazy.
Oh and by the way "Dave", if you read, nothing I said was directed to you. So maybe your should just really read what was written before you attempt to go after an apparent "trained chimp".
And if you had a "grain of intelligence" as you so fashionably put it, you would have known from the get go, my previous message was far from directed at you. I think my exact words were "Now on to Mr/Mrs "ronfrank"s post." Your not the Matlock I'm referencing.
And for putting down Syndk8, that's not my place, however obviously its there for a reason. It fills a need for people, and makes the owner (I assume) a nice chunk of income. Who cares what the board has on it. With business all that matters is the bottom line, and how your going to make that number grow. Everything in between is just nuisances you have to deal with. If people want to screw with black hat, let them.. They will learn pretty quick what the ban hammer is all about.

Again, you're missing the point entirely. Regardless of the "level" of Benware's actions on a scale of wrong or right, legal or illegal, white hat or black hat, it's the principles that I'm denouncing him for.
Your laissez faire, borerline apathetic outlook on life is entirely disheartening. Drug lords make nice chunks of income, weapons dealers make nice chuncks of income as do the CEO and executives for AIG or Lehman Brothers, however, that does not justify the fact they lack ethics, morales or that they are sociopathic creatures who care about their personal material posessions more than they care about the world around them. I don't live my life that way, nor do most people.
Furthermore, if Benware was trying to garner attention for himself by spamming people's referrer logs, he got what he was looking for. Might I add, not all webmasters are programmers who understand it takes less than three lines of perl code to spam referrer logs. Additionally, Benware's script, self admittedly got out of control and accidentally went overboard. Still, he should have known better than to even bother freaking people out. Panic can ensue in any webmaster who fears being hacked, cracked etc when their logfiles start showing up with a bunch garbage.
Think about it this way. What if I ran up to your bedroom window at 3:00am and pounded on it and ran away. It would freak you out because you wouldn't know what was coming next.
Just for the record, I'll tell you that how I found out bompa hit me with the referrer spam was one of my affiliate managers called me to ask what all the blackhatbootcamp referrer entries were on some of the banners I run with them. I then checked my logs and Googled for blackhatbootcamp and found the DP thread and PM'ed a few other people who had been hit. This was before the thread was started here but I rarely look in this section of the forum so I didn't notice Ron had been hit also.. Now do you understand why somebody might be upset? Not only wasting people's server resources and their time, he was also creating havoc for those publishers who are using affiliate programs that track referrers to weed out cookie stuffing and other bullshit like that. If you spend any time at Snydik8, you surely know what cookie stuffing and why most top level affiliate programs are touchy about referrer logs.
As I stated, Benware wanted attention, he got it. Then he attacked my sites. Fine, that's all over, let the chips fall where they may but no, not Bompa, he's going to try to keep escalating this by posting more garbage on his blog about me or my forum members. Seems to me, he's like the kid that gets his ass kicked at lunch for running his mouth and then goes right back to school after lunch and starts talking more shit again. Some people just don't know when to shut the f**k up and walk away. |
