I see the master of referral whores, John Chow is promoting Clickbooth affilaite program on his blog this week but it is a paid post so I don't know if it is to be believed or not. I have seen a lot of people on Wikedfire forums shouting that Clickbooth is a huge scam and rips off affiliates.
Does anybody have any insight to share ? |

I've been on the fence about joining ClickBooth mainly because of this thread at Wickedfire forums, however, it's not like any forum that uses Google bowling to get themselves and competitor forums to the top of the SERPS for the term "Gay webmaster forums" is really honest in my book. I'm not really sure what to think because Wickedfire is full of idiotic teenage webmasters who use Black Hat techniques and most of them have been banned for one reason or another from every major affiliate network.
What I'm interested in finding out are several things about Clickbooth butit seems nobody has done a genuine review like I've done for Neverblue Ads or Pepperjam Network.
The things I'd like to know are :
Basics- What type of advertisers does ClickBooth have? ie: are they general audience (CJ,NBA,PJN) or adult related (MN, BMA)
- Do they offer lead based commissions as well as action commissions
- Do they allow casino related affiliates (definitely not a plus in my book)
- Do they have a referral program like PJN, AdBrite, NBA, Chitika, Bidvertiser
- What are the payment terms, ie: Net-15, Net-30, etc...
- What is the payment distribution mentod, ie: Check, Paypal, etc..
- Do they have a referral program like PJN, AdBrite, NBA, Chitika, Bidvertiser
Advanced- Do they offer incentivized ads ?
- Do they assign you an AM (Account Manager) ?
- Do they publish a phone numfor contact that is easily locatable ?
- Do they have a contact system (or chat) like PJN has ?
Those would be some of the questions I'd like to see addressed, however nobody seems to look at these aspects when reviewing this network. It seems to me that affiliates are so polarized and partisan on this program that they forget to include any details for those of us who are not affiliate yet.

I've given up on Wickedfire forums. It's nearly impossible to gleam any real information from that forum even if you spend hours wading through all the negativity and profanity, it's still a pretty useless forum.
I think they're just in a war with the people from ClickBooth and the info they were spouting is mostly untrue. |
