I thought it would be fun to start a thread for C4G members to post pictures and videos that are inspirational for any of us who feel the world is against us and we've got it bad. Hopefully this thread will help cheer you up when you're down and make the world seem a little smaller.

I'll start it off with this picture.

His name is Mark Goffeney and he is relatively famous. He has a band called "Big Toe" (yeah, serious) !! A couple more videos of him here..

Watching them makes you think how does he does normal, everyday things like putting his shirt on, eating dinner, even carrying his guitar to play in the park. In the meantime, people like Spitfire piss and moan about how and why they can't get a job but this guy who was born with no arms has worked as a construction worker, as a telemarketer and as a musician.

two days after i got home from hospital after having this done :

i was doing a engine changeover on a mates mums car. Within weeks i was tree lopping, concreting, even delivering pamphlets, anything to pay my own way. For years i took enough painkillers to kill a horse just so i could work. I understand that some people are unemployable but really its their own state of mind that is the driving force behind their status.

People like Mark Goffeney are truly inspirational.

I agree, like the old saying goes "Where there is a will, there is a way" and there's no excuse for people who don't want to work and make excuses for it. Yeah, the 1969 Pontiac Firebird was courtesy of GOOG (been shorting Google's stock since it was at $700). It was a bit risky, I took $100K in equity from one of my homes to buy in and was sweating bullets a few days but it paid off. Already paid off the loan and now I'm shorting GOOG at $450, crossing my fingers "Black Monday" sees me up enough to buy a rental property I have my eye on. Gotta love Google (for all the wrong reasons).
