I want to invest some money in real estate and I do not want to take loan from any bank. Recently I have heard that investment in real estate is going to pay me much more than what I invest now. I need to know if I can use an IRA to purchase resl estate as an investment. I heard something aout a way to do this without taking the money and having to pay the taxes and frees for arly withdrawl. Can anybody help me in my real estate investment. |

I'm a US citizen but I live and work in Malaysia. I'm thinking on property in the US because I will be moving back to the US within two years after my contract is finished.

I'm not sure if I've ever heard of a way to invest in real estate using your IRA unless it's through a real estate fund. that's a possibility.

Wow , fantastic tip DKP2004ATP, I had no idea that there was a way to do this through an IRA. t would figure a company specializing in that would be located in Oak Brook because there are so many corporations headquartered there that, if memory serves me, Oak Brook residents don't pay property taxes, the corporations do.

The thing you need to realize is that you can't buy a piece of property you choose using ths scheme. You are buying into a fund that is investing in real estate. You have no power over the purchases, you just reap the benefits if there are any.
