I'm making this a sticky topic because every Adsense Publisher needs to be aware of this information.

In Google Adsense anyone can sabotage your account if they copy your Adsense code onto a page they control and start clicking on the ads with your publisher ID on them. I've been having this problem for the last few days, and I've tried contacting Google about the issue but I found out there is a way you can prevent this sabotage from happening to you.

All you have to do is change your account settings from  "Allow any site to show ads for my account" to "Only allow certain sites to show ads for my account".

See this article on my Affiliate Programs blog for more information...

Protect Your Adsense Account From Sabotage

I  haven't seen this article before but it is very good to read for all Adsense publishers. Is there a way to prevent invalid clicks from children in the house or family/roommates sharing your ip from clicking on your ads ?

Very interesting, thanks for the information.  Yes I found the setting in my adsense, wondering if I should start using it or not.  Cool

Thanks for this advice. I wasn't aware that your AdWords could be sabotaged but now that you described the process it does make sense and seems very easy. It'll be important for all of us to protect against that.
