| I only have one problem and this is Google Adsense doesn't allow unqualified traffic from traffic exchanges if you have Adsense on your blog or website. I don't want to get my account banned because of it so I have to find some way to use the traffic exchanges without getting Google mad. |

Yes Dannielle, it's not a matter of IF but when they will close your adsense account. Continually try to warn people of this, even with a warning on the add site page. Still people tend to ignore this and place sites with adsense in rotation. This is from personal experience...my adsense account was closed over 2 years ago with well over $200 in it...but I haven't looked back. You see, to me if adsense is the only source of income I can generate from a site then its not worth my effort. The pennies generated are not worth being told where and how I can advertise my sites. lol Nor do I like the fact that when people click the adsense links they leave my site, maybe to never return? Like for them to stay there and read or see what I have to say..
The reason Google doesn't like to have adsense shown in traffic exchanges is simple. Since your site is shown within the traffic exchange frame, Google's tracking picks this up as coming from only one site...in other words, to them it looks like you are cheating the system by repeatedly showing their ads from one IP address. An enormous amount of views coming from one location. That and the fact that so many people have tried to cheat their system and still do makes them rather nervous since people are paying them good money to have their ads shown.
Be warned, if Google Adsense is important to you, do not show them in traffic exchanges or other high generating site view options.
Best idea is to create a splash page with a subscribe form, your photo, name, and or a link to click to your blog or site. Build your subscriber list first...or generate enough interest on your splash page that will lead others to click to your blog or site... just my opinion. |

Excellent idea Ray, I didn't realize that's why Dave here uses a splash page for Code4Gold. I just thought it was for advertising but now I get it. No wonder why I see so many of those testimonial style pages leading into a real site in the traffic exchanges as well.
Do you know if Alexa counts the hits in your rankings if you use a splash page ? |

Splash pages are the way to success, especially when using traffic exchanges.. but don't forget to put your opt in (subscribe) form on the page, as well as your name and photo.
Yes, Alexa rankings will apply if you are using the same domain for your splash page... i.e. www.yourdomain.com/mysplashpage.html With that said, Alexa rankings are not something you should worry about too much...basically worthless except for bragging rights. Consider successful pages those that either get the sale or get you a new subscriber. Test different styles, colors, words, create different splash pages for the same purpose for testing purposes, never know which one might hit a hot button for someone. |
