Some are saying if Greece abandons the euro, it will cause chaos for other country's economies.

What concerns me is Greece seems tied to the hip of the American and other World Markets. Good news about Greece and the Markets go up. Bad news about Greece and the Markets go down.

I agree, the situation in Greece is really having an impact on Europe and the US. You wouldn't think one country could have so much impact but if you study the situation a bit you can see that Greece is a high-income economy with a $300 billion GDP. Being a part of the eurozone is a toss up for them as there are other countries with much lower economies that impact theirs.

As for the US stock market, I think Wall Street vascillates on any given excuse. If the market didn't go up and down, the traders and brokerage firms wouldn't keep making money.
