I've been promoting an affiliate offer using PPC with Google Adwords, but it is slow with impressions and clicks, I'm working on that but it doesn't take a lot of work and it's automatic, in the background.

I also have a website (Wordpress blog) with the affiliate links on and the site is also automatic except for writing articles.

I'm sitting here just refreshing pages and doing nothing most of the time - what should I do to be more productive? I've tried building backlinks to my site so that it builds up traffic using freetrafficsystem but I've submitted already about 5 articles and after a week I still have ZERO backlinks so I lost any motivation to continue.

what can I do? Should I just give up on Internet Marketing?

Sometimes I feel the same way. I have built several sites, none seem to get any traffic. I publish original content I believe to be quality, written in English and I see all kinds of junk blogs with poorly written English outrank me.

Even worse, I post an article and some autoblog scrapes my content and outranks me for it.

I'm beginning to think creating websites and blogs is a huge waste of time.

To effectively build backlinks it is best to outsource it
There are persons on fiver who offer thousands of blog comments for $5
Then after building the backlinks, ping them

You can find so many free articles sites to post your articles to get backlinks. Other than article submission, you can use methods like forum posting, blog commenting, directory submission, etc.

Yes it is true that backlinks can be acquired from various sources. However it is essential to make sure that you get backlinks from authoritative sources, this goes on to say that the page rank and domain authority of the website should be high in order to get good traffic for your website.

You need to mark your spots.. Do the following in order to ensure more backlinks and traffic:

1. Go for only the basic SEO of your website - to ensure long term success..

2. Write original, interesting and useful articles on your website (regularly) for more backlinks..

3. Do follow Article Submissions, Social Bookmarking, Online forums, PR submissions and Blog Commenting

4. Go for websites like Stumble, Reddit, Traffup, Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Hubpages, Squidoo, Youtube - for instant traffic..

5. Be patient and don't loose hope so quickly...

Keep focusing on SEO. Create well placed quality backlinks. Keep adding new content to your sites. and use good keywords and keyword phrases within your content.
