Is the web design important in getting your website more popular? What is the kind of design that makes people trust your site? Would it really affect decision making of the visitors?

Yes, web design does make a big difference. It is one of the aspects that attracts a visitor. Another important aspect is the features you offer on your website for visitors. It may influence the decision of the visitors.

Web design is not so important in getting the traffic. But it is essential to keeping the traffic.

For example, you don't want to bust your butt doing SEO and getting the traffic, and then having people immediately leave because of a disorganized design.

You need a good design to engage your traffic.

Keep them interested and you keep them there.

In my opinion, web design is important but it does not play a significant role in terms of getting traffic to your website. You will have to follow online marketing strategies like article marketing, blogging, social bookmarking and creating a presence on the social networking websites for getting traffic to your website.
