For good results, I try to build quality backlinks with dofollow sites and relevancy is the key to success in my point of view. In the meantime, I carry on some work on social network sites.

nofollow is good also if the blogs are relevant to your website ;)

I'd create a video or two and place on youtube. Place it on your site as well. Then proceed to disseminate them across the net to drive traffic.

So, true, there aren't shortcuts. It takes time, dedication and consistency. What's more, it is best to focus on your SEO efforts each and everyday. Try to establish link equity by focusing on one or two keywords and building your links around those.

Yeah looks like your on the right track. However one thing i saw you didnt notice is keyword research which is very important. You dont want to target a keyword that is competitive to the point where people are paying millions to have their site #1 for that keyword. So use the google keyword tool and find keywrods related to your site that you can actually rank for.
