Hey..

my son have just got his nintendo Wii, and i was wondering,
anyone know what i need to do to be able to play games that i download and burn out on it??

You would need to get it modified before playing back up games.

Not sure of any modders in Norway but..

Also see there are options to "buy" games online with it.
anyone tried this?

As fa ras I know, no. There is no way to "buy" games online for the Wii (or basically any other system, unless you're talking about little games, not full console games).

On another note, I've heard good things about the modchip, WiiKey (I think that's the name). It can play DVDs, burned Wii games, GC games, and I think it can play games out of the region.

@condawg, thanks for the tip about wiikey... have you tried it yourself? i would try it but perhaps before i get convinced that it's hundred percent safe... Undecided

I think there is a way even if your wii is not modded, its software based mod to run backup copies. google softmod for wii. I hope that helps

HomeBrew is the program for softmodding your wii. It is much safer than Hardmodding, but you still have to be careful on how you are doing though.
