OK, so I just inherited some money from a relative who passed away and I want to invest. I'm thinking of trying to do some day trading and I was wondering how do you pick stocks for day trading ?

I don't need actual stock picks, I just would like some ideas how to get started.

There are a lot of sources of information about various stocks. I personally use Google finance and look at the different options and stocks available. I myself am looking into making some investments. I think people should look at the market themselves and decide on which stock to invest in. If they just went by the word of their friend on what stock to buy, they might be selling themselves short. Then again, a friend's advice is also good.
