I've had some good success with StumbleUpon.  My blog seems to do well at Blog Catalog.

Whenever I submit to digg or stumbleupon I see some traffic increase. Also, doing a google search for the title submitted reveals that digg shows before me in SERPs.

it really depends what your site's niche is... for me myspace has been a huge help in getting to my target audience that fits my niche.

Can't tell exactly which site drives more traffic. As I have experienced it myself that it completely depends on how we market our website in social networking sites and how we increase our network. If you increase your network in every social networking sites it will definitely turn huge amount of traffic to your website. For me, Stumbleupon, twitter, linkedin, facebook, mixx and myspace worked well. I tried to approach only the people those who were interested in communicating with me and those who were of the same niche as well.

I've had luck with Ezine Articles, but it took lots and lots of articles to finally get some that drove some decent traffic. It's worked better than social sites for me, but I had a little luck with Myspace before that, back when it was easier to get thousands of friends.

I have used Digg and Stumbledupon ... I have found both to be successful tools! I also use facebook quite a bit and have had success with that as well
