one thing i found out recently by a report was that the author found by extensive testing that homepage text of high ranking sites tended to be over 400 words.
Previoulsy I had always carefully crafted 100 to 200 word content for my homepages, so I could keep good control on density etc, but it makes sense that google wants to see that you and your page is real by having real content.
if you do it write with colour and heading this can be a great sales page too, rather than just an entrance page to your site. |
