| I always recommend starting with Google. You will want to go to their Webmaster Central blog and look up their SEO Starter guide. |

| there are lots of techniques on how to drive traffic to your site or index on search engines. You don't have to be that techy when it comes to programming. You have to start in making use of free blogs, article directories, video submission sites. You need to specify your niche market and search for good keywords and always update your site, bookmark it and ping it. |

As many have experienced there are a lot of opinions about SEO. This became very obvious very quickly when I started learning SEO. I looked the situation over and decided to follow the advice of industry leaders. I reasoned that if they were making money from SEO then they likely knew what they were talking about. I purposely avoided forums. I figured that if three industry leaders made a claim that it was likely so. But I took this a step further by applying one thing at a time then observing the results.
My first website took four months to build. By the time it launched I had already built 1200 backlinks. Within three days the site landed on the first page of Google and stayed there at that point I knew I had a new career. I launched my first SEO site for months later. |

I mean there are two parts of SEO, on page seo and off page seo. On page seo I can't really explain too well in a simple post, but off page SEO is a little easier.
Although there are more aspect than link building, link building is the biggest part of SEO (on page or off page). Just make sure when you are doing your link building that you include your keywords as your anchor text, and get links from relevant sites. |
