Century 21 Real Estate Unveils New Application On Facebook
Global Real Estate Brand Connects Consumers to Local Brokers through Interactive, Customizable Social App
Franchise Group Press Releases : http://www.realogy.com/media/pr/show_release.cfm?id=1083

PARSIPPANY, N.J. 10-17-2011 — Century 21 Real Estate LLC, the franchisor of the world's largest residential real estate sales organization, today announced the release of the CENTURY 21® App on Facebook. The app provides CENTURY 21® System brokers with an innovative tool to help optimize their offices' Facebook Business pages by increasing their ability to engage with customers and drive leads directly from the leading* social networking site. Consumers will benefit from the information and tools available on the CENTURY 21 App, which encompasses everything they need to begin the home buying and selling process with their local CENTURY 21 office.

"As social media evolves, we are committed to providing our System members with the innovative tools and systems necessary to help them grow their businesses," said Bev Thorne, chief marketing officer, Century 21 Real Estate LLC. "This app was designed to help consumers connect with local CENTURY 21 brokers in an environment where they feel comfortable and where they are spending an increasing amount of time."

The application lets CENTURY 21 offices grant access to their current listings and be contacted by potential clients directly through Facebook. Additionally, the application provides customers with a multitude of tools and resources to assist in the home buying or selling process such as:

•    The CENTURY 21 Homebuyer Toolkit. This toolkit allows potential buyers to calculate their mortgage payments, determine how much they can afford to spend on a new home and take the first steps in getting pre-approved for a mortgage.

•    Twitter Stream and Live Blog Feed. Users can keep up-to-date with the local offices and CENTURY 21 Real Estate's official Twitter handles through the app, as well as scour content that applies to them as either a buyer or a seller from the brand’s official blog, @C21 – Home Matters.

•    The CENTURY 21 Real Estate Mobile App. Smartphone users can link directly to their app stores to download this mobile app, which allows homebuyers and sellers to take their research on-the-go.

"CENTURY 21 Real Estate has a proud tradition of innovation," said Thorne. "The App on Facebook is another great example of how our brand is committed to empowering our brokers to reach consumers with the information they want, where they want it and how they want it."

The application takes only minutes to activate and is easily customizable for individual offices. It is now available to all CENTURY 21 brokers to implement on their own Facebook business pages by following a few simple steps. For more information, visit facebook.com/century21.

*According to Nielsen’s "State of the Media: Social Media Report," American Internet users now devote more time to Facebook than any other site, spending a total of 53.5 billion minutes a month using the social network at home and at work. That's more than Yahoo (17.2 billion minutes), Google (12.5 billion), YouTube (9.1 billion), Blogger (724 million), Tumblr (624 million) and Twitter (565 million) combined.
