May we never let the things we can't have, or don't have, or shouldn't have, spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have. As we value our happiness let us not forget it, for one of the greatest lessons in life is learning to be happy without the things we cannot or should not have.

Well this may seem a silly question but let me give some explanation.

I have read and tried to learn php by using free sites such as w3schools or tizag. when I say I have read i mean I read almost all of their pages, even mysql, sql or advanced php.

But still cannot use it for creating scripts. I cannot even validate a form( I mean I can, but not from none, need to consult a tutorial before).

My idea is to give a kind of strategy or work method for learning php.

All you have to do is search Google for "PHP Tutorials" and you should be able to teach yourself. It's really quite simple once you get started but the hard part is knowing where to start.

Hi Frank,

Basically you’re confused because you’ve learnt a lot but you lack practical experience. Try to download free coded program (easily available) & upload it on any free PHP based hosting. Start practicing aggressively. Eventually you may open up a small business. I got my help from servana (my signature help).

I suggest you to buy a real manual, for beginners, from a real library. Then, start praticing php functions and codes WHILE reading the book, as pratice alone (or theory alone) won't lead you to the goal.

Another thing that i found really useful, was downloading very simple and small scripts, to study how other people work.
