Sometimes the technology world can be completely hysterical. Take this article from PC Mag for instance

Siri, Are You Anti-Abortion?

Quote
Is Siri a pro-lifer? It seems that Apple's amazing, voice-initiated personal assistant has a decided lack of knowledge about abortion services and emergency contraception.

At least that's what a growing number of iPhone 4S owners are reporting. They say that when they ask variations of "Where can I get an abortion?" Siri directs them to so-called Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPCs), organizations that do not provide abortions but instead advise women seeking them to go through with their pregnancies.

Evidently, this whole Siri abortion issue is stirring up lots of conversation on the interwebs. Sheesh, don't people have better things to do with their boring lives than ask a phone app where to terminate a pregnacy ?

On another note, why would Apple even code the Siri app with the information they have which doesn't answer the actual question asked by the Siri users ?

It also makes you wonder, how many other Siri searches are loaded with information Apple (or their partners) want you to see.

tsk tsk, it's a shame Siri should not be discussing these things when children use the iPhone.

I have to agree. Abortion is an extremely serious topic and finding a provider on your iPhone just doesn't seem right.

chirpy also brings up a good point. A lot of children use iPhones.
