If you're a business looking for local customers, it's very important to adapt your site to be mobile friendly.
Many times when people use mobile search, they are out and about and looking for something locally. That's why it's critical for any localized business to make sure their website has a proper mobile version for mobile searchers.
Even if you're not using the web to find local customers, a mobile version of your site can help boost sales.
The only type of sites that won't benefit much from mobile search are Adsense sites or affiliate sites that require visitors to click through ads.
Most mobile users are looking for simplicity and too many ads, heavy graphics, etc will not sell them on your site.
But local businesses like restaurants, specialty shops, professional services, etc can really gain a lot from having a mobile version of their site. |
