I really hate blog spam. It stinks that you put your time, effort and money into creating a blog to share with people and then you get the dregs of society using bot software to spam the comments for backlinks.

Here's a blog comment spam I received today. I wasn't sure if it was really a disappointed reader but then I got 4 more of these comments from 4 different IP's with 4 different links :

Every day I get 1 or 2 comment spams written by real people that get past my spam filters. Of late they’ve been coming from the Philippines and Ukraine. Usually they are poor excuses for spams.

I wouldn't call the spammer stupid - he/she probably infiltrates hundreds of blogs a day. Is he a bastard? Yes.
