From John Chow to ProBlogger, they share great information. Links to advertisers for your blog, telling you to write every day. Comment on other blogs and forums. And write great content. But how do you go from the average blogger to making a significant amount of money a month?

Is it all about page ranking and researching competitive keywords???

It's all about getting new customers from regular readers. That's how they make those money... :)

well said! and i think it´s absolutely correct. They sell their products/ebooks or they advertise for their affiliate-partners.

it takes months and sometimes a year or two of consistent updates with content that is valued by your readers.......then you will start to notice affiliate commissions and people will want to join your primary business.

It's a long term (not a short term) goal, to develop a blog that generates you a solid monthly income.

making money off of something like a blog just takes alot of work. and you have to be unqiue. if your not odds are people will just go to another more established site.
