Anyone know if there's anything that can be done to improve the amount earned per click with Kontera?

I don't think there's really anything you can do. My epc is so low with Kontera, I decided to remove it from this forum. It just wasn't worth a few pennies per day to make the forum look tacky with those double underlined links.

If you have a wordpress blog and wanted to keep trying with Kontera, have a look at the Kontera Control plugin. It lets you specifiy how many days you want to keep Kontera posts out of before they start appearing. In other words you can make it so that in the first 30 days of a post being live, wordpress won't allow any kontera links into that post. Not sure that I made sense, but it's worth looking at.

That actually sounds pretty interesting. Maybe I should try doing something like that on this forum and display Kontera on threads that haven't been posted in for 30 days.

Good idea.

It's not such a bad idea cos the way I figure it, is that if a post is over 30 days old, a 'regular' visitor will most probably have already read it. So at least you wont be pi$$ing off the regulars. :P
