Kontera ContentLinks Basic Program Information
What are ContentLinks?
ContentLinks are contextually relevant keywords discovered in real time on a publisher’s web page that are automatically turned into a link to the most relevant and highest paying text ad from one of Kontera’s thousands of advertisers.
How quickly will ads start appearing on my site?
After being accepted to the program, setting up your account and successfully pasting the ad tag code onto your web pages, ads will start running on your site after 12AM PST the same day.
How do I optimize my site for the most relevant ads?
Our ability to target ads for a Publisher’s site depends on the content and structure of that site. Here are some basic guidelines for optimization:
* Place the tag on pages that predominately contain text, since only text (both visual and HTML) is used to determine a page’s context.
* Pages may also contain changing content, as Kontera’s analysis process occurs in real time.
* If your site contains frames, be sure to place the tag in the frame that has the majority of the content.
* Do not place the tags within IFRAME or DIV tags. This will cause technical issues.
* Do not modify the ad tag – only change the values of the ad tag parameters as explained in this document.
* When modifying ad tag parameters, test on a few pages in order to assure proper operation prior to launching across the full site

Can I place the ad tag on more than one site?
Please contact us regarding any new sites you would like to add the tags to. We will need to confirm that the site complies with Kontera’s program policies and with your reporting needs.
Can I filter competitive or undesired ads from appearing on my site?
Yes. You can do this by supplying a list of up to 250 URLs of undesired advertisers. Remember that filtering sites may decrease the number of ads that can appear on your pages as well as decrease your potential revenues. Please contact us regarding implementation.
How and when do I get paid?
We will mail you a check within 30 days after the end of each calendar month that ContentLink™ ads are running on your site if your earned balance is US $100 or more. If your balance is less than $100, we will send you a check at the end of the first month that your balance reaches $100.
