Still increases your risk of cancer. Alchohol is quickly absorbed in mucous membranes. Actually listerine does nothing for plaque really (as far as I know). Its for gingivitis. Plaque is stopped from brushing and flossing and scraping only.

My hygienist has recommended the brushing of the listerine. Ever since I followed her advice, I've less plaque & I only visit the dentist once a year.
what? i just noticed that the alcohol in listerin can cause mouth cancer? then is the alcohol in drinks can cause another cancer too? like wine, beer, champagne, or any other drinks that contain alcohol.... i though the alchol is killing a bacteria , not cos any other disease
