GEEE this is an interesting article... read it!!

With the recent study Doctor can tell you whether one is suffering from Heart disease, Diabetes or Vitamin deficiency by just looking at the persons teeth.

hoaaa.. i'm curious bout my disease if my doctor look at my teeth.... i hate it when it connected with teeth!!!

Yes, sometimes you can tell whether a person is suffering from another disease by looking at the teeth.
Anyway it is important to look after our teeth as they not only affect our looks but as you said may be
a sign of deficiency in certain nutrients.

you can even identify if someone were infected by aids, by checking their mouth and teeth :D, one of my friends studying in dentistry school told me.

I'm sorry , but I don't think u could do that. I know that a person having HIV virus is not very different from the others, so u can't tell just by looking at a person that he/she has aids. There are blood analysys for that.

well.. I always go to dentist every 1-2 months. and I think there is some dirty things that is hard to be cleaned up by only brush your teeth. so, you have to go to dentist to clean it up..  grin

I go to the dentist every 6 month, but apart from brushing my teeth I also use dental floss and interdental brush, which is really helpfull. I think going to the dentist once a month is a little too much for me...

Every 6 mths is good enough & you need to get the hygienist to clean them thoroughly but I go to my dentist every year as it is costly
but I make sure I use listerine everyday after brushing & flossing as listerine will kill off the bacteria & help to prevent plaque from
accumulating around your teeth.
