Work while work,
play while play,
to be happy and gay.
Be awy from too much junk food
An apple every day,
to keep the doctor away.
That is my policy of staying fit.

I totally agree that a healthy died and some fitness could help u to maintain a healthy life, but my question is: how much time should we spend on fitness every day? is 5 minutes/day a reasonable amount of time?

If you spend at least 30 minutes a day, I think that is good enough. I know if I don't spend that 30 mins
daily, I've neck & backaches & they disappear when I do belly dancing for about 30 mins & I don't even
do it continuously for 30 mins. I do it for 10 mins here & there. I also find that walking is good & I do
have another 35mins walking to & from work.

I don't have much time these days & I make sure I've at least 30mins of gentle exercises & of course a
healthy diet is important.

i don't think 5 minutes is a reasonable amount of time, it's not sport if you do it only for 5 minutes. i agree with st, to do it 30 minutes minimum time. maybe just run around your blocks :D

Unfortunately, lately I've been using my car very often so I don't get to walk too much anymore... The only way I exercise this day is just dancing around the house. But I think I'll try to make some time to go running in the evening- althoug I hate it-, because it's summer and I want to be able to wear skirts without any kind of problem.

Yes,I also thinck that 5min is not enough. In five minutes you don't even make a worm up.I play tennis a lot and I thinck that it is very necesary to worm up 10min and after that do at least 15min of execises to have effect(and this constantly). But sport is a hobby for me and I do it as much as I can daily and I dont thinck of minutes.

You're probably eating the wrong kinds of food which will not help even when you do exercise. Eating 3 smaller meals is better than eating 2 big meals & never eat just before bedtime.
