Our moments of inspiration are not lost though we have no particular poem to show for them; for those experiences have left an indelible impression, and we are ever and anon reminded of them.

Do you use the "+" sign when making Google searches ?

For example, the following search to find italian restaurants in Chicago :

Code:
italian restaurant +chicago

The search above would have found all italian restaurants ONLY matching the keyword "Chicago" but, you can no longer use the "+" sign to modify your searches in Google according to this article...

Google Removes + Plus Operator From Search

Now Google wants you to enclose the exact term you want in quotes.

but weren't quotes supposed to be used to match a phrase exactly such as this enchancement of my previous example

Code:
"italian restaurant" +chicago

So now, the way Google wants you to do it is

Code:
italian restaurant "chicago"

Very annoying to say the least. What do you think ?

Did you eat today? There millions of people starving in the world.

Definitely annoying. It's going to take me a while to get used to.

I do suspect it has something to do with Google+ in search.

Think about if you wanted to search Google+ for Bill Gates, what would you do this ->

Code:
Google+ +"Bill Gates"

Looks like Google messed up bigtime with this one.

It never worked like Google said it should anyway.

If I search for the phrase "Apple iPad" using quotation marks, the first page that comes up is obviously Apple's iPad pageĀ  but if I search the source code then there is not a single instance of the exact phrase "Apple iPad" on the page.

+"Apple iPad" brings up the exact same results also.

Which brings up the question "how do you search for an exact phrase on a page in Google? and not what Google wants to show you because of advertisers.

Common guys, I don't see why changing from + to "" is such a big thing for some of you, its just one extra character for you to type in your search and its not like its going to change your seo or anything lol....
