The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, Nor the kindly smile nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when they discover that someone else believes in them and is willing to trust them.

'm wondering if it's possible to beat authority sites in Google ssearch? I can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone. While I'm doing keyword research I find tons of good keywords but a lot of them have the big name sites sitting at the top. Should I avoid these type of keywords in favor of more obscure ones?

For example: if I wanted to promote some random offer for lets say, pedigree dog food, the number 1 site is obviously the pedigree site.

Is there any hope to get ranked above authority sites  ?

Its not possible to beat the authority websites which has high authority in search results like Ebay, Amazon or dell. Some websites has the domain authority due to that they crawled very frequently and search engine also give them some preference. These websites may be creates thousand pages each day and they appears in SERPs in very quick time due to their domain and website authority.

I don't think it's impossible . I agree the authority sites have some preference but taking the advantage of all the SEO metrics will helps to chase them. I have some experience in my claim so i am damn sure about this
