Long urls can be a nightmare if you're using a micro blogging service such as Twitter, Plurk or Bzzu and you only have a limited amount of space to post your favorite urls. With our free url shortning service, now you don't have to worry about posting long urls on social networking sites, forums, in emails, in chat rooms or any place else you might want to share a url with other internet users.

But it's look like sombody on the forum not recomended to use the shortlink on the forum. Because the short url can hide pornographic content Evil

Short URL's are only beneficial if there is too much to type. or there is twit or article link. Else i don't see any benefit from short URL's.
