I am just starting my first forum on VB software. I purchased a license and had my designer set it up for me.

My designer says I shouldn't allow dofollow signatures for SEO reasons? Should I do this ?

I'm new with forums making and some sort, I would like to know also what is the reason
why? maybe because to avoid spammer roaming your forum

Think like this: it will be a harder work to ban spammers, however, word will spread and you could get members due to this "dofollow" feature..

I am glad that you have decided to start your first forum on the software VB. Anyway, I am not sure whether there is any truth to it. I have also been asked by my designer not to allow do follow signatures for the purpose of Search engine optimization. I think it is because of the fact that through this way, one could make the job of spamming more hard! But I think they are seriously mistaken as there is always a new way to spam efficiently! Cheer
