If I want to create my own theme for my Wordpress blog, do I need some sort of special software or development kit to do it?
If it can be done in basic html and CSS, I know how to do that but I don't want to mess with something and have my blog malfunction.
also, my blog is live. How can I make sure the live blog doesn't get interrupted ? |

It depends on you but I like to create from scratch. For starters, you can modify themes and added some great features to it. Good luck! |

OK - what I have figure out is to create my theme in a new folder in my Themes directory. This way I can't screw up my current install.
Is ther some easy way to switch themes with out having to log into my dashboard? |
