Most people make the mistake of writing their auction's title first. Don't do that. Write your auction description first and when you're wriitng it take your best keywords you wil use to create your auction title after you are done with the description. It doesn't matter if it doesn't read like a proper sentence. You can add a power word or two if you've space. By this I mean words like stunning, limited edition, unique, rare, new, one-off, exclusive, distinctive, dramatic etc. These are words which can influence buyers to click through to your auction description.

I personally think that it's best to include as many factual details about the item in the title as possible. Many eBay gurus will tell you that using words like "rare" and "unique" has been overplayed and drilled into the ground. I try to think of my item title from the buyer's point of view. Most buyers know what they're looking for. I'd rather click on a title that has the exact specifications of what I'm looking for in the title, than mulling around through different listings to try to find the information in the descirption (though the information also needs to be in the description as well). Just my two cents.

By writing clear, strong benefit statements that describe your product, you can connect directly with customer desires.  Just be honest with your presentation approach so your customers will continuously buy on you. Wink

There is nothing so frustrating as clicking through item after item and not seeing what you expect to find. A lot of sellers make the mistake of using flashy titles that do not represent what they are selling.  They may get a lot of looks but in the process they develop a bad reputation with buyers.  Buyers remember sellers that have repetitively wasted their time by posting misleading titles, and they eventually stop looking at their listings.
