Best Tactics to Make Money With Amazon
1. Always use "in content" linking because users are more likely to click links inside your blog posts or webpages than they are likely to click banner ads.
2. Write bestseller list postings (ie: 10 Best Laptops for Students) - people like lists
3. Make all images in your post clickable affiliate links to the Amazon product. I'm surprised how many people miss this simple tactic.
4. Use "buy it now" buttons within the content.
5. Focus heavily on well known shopping periods. Timing is everything. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are good times to push gift ideas. September is good for "back to school" stuff, etc...
Worst Tactics to Make Money
1. Don't bother using standard Amazon banner ads. They always convert poorly.
2. Don't bother with Amazon stores. They also convert terribly. If you can even get a visitor to click a store link congratulations.
3. Never promote products that aren't related to your niche (obvious)
4. Don't use Amazon Associates if it doesn't fit with the type of visitor coming to your website. If are they just looking for information, Adsense will probably work better. If they looking to buy something, Amazon will work better.
