After searching for quick fix after quick fix the would be affiliate marketer becomes so frustrated with the prospects of success that they eventually give up, the sad irony being if they had spent that same time that they wasted on looking for quick fixes, studying and educating themselves on how the many aspects of the industry work, they could have seen success very easily.

The success of an affiliate program depends very much on proper placement in topic relevant web pages. If you are looking for affiliate programs to utilize on your web site, it would be helpful to first map out the themes of your web site(s). In addition it would be beneficial to prepare a list of your primary keywords and phrases.

I got to agree too. More specifically, just get in and do your keyword research and go after long tail keywords or at least semi-long tail keywords. Then start your back link building and watch your site rise to the top of the search engines, then watch the money come on in.
