Idetrorce Spam Bot Attack Linked to Brian Krassenstein of Talkgold.com
In December 2007, Bloggers around the world were introduced to a new comment spam bot that seemed to bypass Akismet’s spam filtering leaving strange comment spam on their blogs. The bot, identified as Idetrorce, had left the ambiguous comment “Very interesting, but I don’t agree with you Idetrorce.”, however no link was supplied, leaving bloggers scratching their heads as to what the true intentions behind the Idetrorce bot are. Some believe the wave of Idetrorce comment spam is a precursor to some larger scale attack scheduled for later deployment while others claim it is the work of a geek who forgot to include their link when spamming blogs on a mass scale. While the speculation as to the nature of Idetrorce is still circulating through the blogosphere, the uncanny connection to the scam clearinghouse TalkGold.com has been revealed unknowingly by a twist of fate. Uncovering the mystery behind Idetrorce, one commentor on a Digg.com thread entitled “Who is Idetrorce” had the following to say …
![]() |
OK, the real question to ask might be: whois Idetrorce.comFrom which we see it was registered this weekend, Registrant: Brian Krassenstein, … Fort Myers, FL 33908, United States edbri871@gmail.com That name and email address, also edbri871@cs.com seem to get frequently accused of mischief and scammery, Could just be a coincidence though, don’t rush to conclusions |
For anybody who doesn’t know who Brian Krassenstein and Eddie Krassenstein are, they promoters of numerous online ponzi and pyramid schemes on their forum Talkgold.com, where their shadowy activities date back to 2003. Before that, they were well known for their incessant spamming, Paypal schemes and other dubious online activities. It comes as no suprise to find out that the domain Idetrorce.com had been registered through them. Typical to the Krassenstein brothers’ methodology, as soon as the heat was on regarding the Idetrorce fiasco and as soon as they were outed as the people behind this massive comment spam wave, they conveniently dropped the domain name.
All of this ties together with the Krassenstein brothers recent activity. In November 2007, a rouge “scam busting” organization known as CattyShaq sought to shut down TalkGold.com but two days before the ringleader of CattyShaq was to file a complaint with the FBI, Brain Krassenstein publicly announced that TalkGold.com had been sold for $500,000USD. The alleged sale [article here] to Akmed Malakar, who coincedentally has no information about him available on the internet, was announced by a person named Peter Gant on Articlebase, a person with no past history of writing articles for the ArticleBase, which is not suprising because the article was written by Brian Krassenstein himself using the identity Peter Gant. Just look at the signature of the author Peter Gant (About the Author: information found at: http://www.talkgold.com/forum and http://websalesdb.com). Krassenstein is well known to write articles under the pseudonym of “Brian Berg” [article here] and with the impending scenario brought about by the Cattyshaq minions, the phony sale of Talkgold.com was a smokescreen to thwart the actions to be taken against the Krassenstein brothers’ cash cow. In conjunction with the alleged sale of Talkgold.com, numerous blurbs of information praising Brian Krassenstein have turned up on forums and websites across the interenet, such as this blurb from hubpages (http://hubpages.com/hub/Brian_Krassenstein)…
![]() |
Brian Krassenstein is a web entrepreneur whom I interviewed last year for an ebook I had been writting. He has authored several ebooks himself and is also a webmaster of over a dozen websites and directories. From what I gathered Brian spends numerous hours a day following the latest SEO tactics and publishes his findings in the electronic books he sells as well as several websites which he shares and helps individuals who are looking to start a career online. |
The blurb was posted by a person named rgrise45 and even more interesting is the fact this person, rgrise45 has posted a blurb about Edward Krassenstein (http://hubpages.com/hub/Edward_Krassenstein)
![]() |
One thing that Eddie regrets about his online business is that he was too open about some of his personal information. He explained,
” There are some terrible people out there. Jealous people, and competitors who will go extremely low to cause you and your business harm. There are people who make up lies, distort facts, and slander your name just to cause harm. If I could change one thing that would be not using my full name when dealing with competition in a direct matter. There are things said about me on internet discussion forums that aren’t true, yet there is nothing you can do about them to have them removed. The internet is a broad array of website located in thousands of legal jurisdictions accrossed the planet. It is impossible to track who makes up these lies, so you just can’t let them hurt or discourage you.” |
Could rgrise45 be Mario Degryse, the scammer behind 2003’s biggest scam, WeeklyGold? Mario Degryse was well known on TalkGold.com and is/was a close associate of Talkgold.com moderator Frederik Laguese from Belgium, who goes by the handle me222 and runs the ponzi scheme affiliate site Autosurfs.net which is advertised across the TalkGold.com network of sites.
The Krassensteins themselves were alleged to have operated the large scale ponzi scheme “Please-Invest” in 2007, again, the proof behind the allegations are clear for anybody who analyzes them with a rational mind. The Krassensteins are also currently involved in the pre-launch of another pyramid scheme called “Team Earners” (http://www.teamearners.com) which is, as usual, claiming “This type of program will be 100% real, 100% legal in all jurisdictions, 100% reliable, and best of all 100% exciting!!”. Team Earners is plastered all over TalkGold.com forums yet it has still to launch but why the temporary placeholder website must make these claims of legitimacy is a sure indicator of the ponzi underbelly of the beast.
That being said, brings this article to a closing speculation. Could the whole Idetrorce spam bot wave be a herald for Team Earners? After all, having a monster spam bot that bypasses Akismet’s spam filtering could be a huge boost to any pyramid scheme the Krassenstein brothers plan to launch in the future?

Dave for your information, I used Google trends to buy and test domain names for traffic. One of the trends was people searching “Idetrorce”. So I test Idetrorce.com for traffic. Do a little research online about what Idetrorce is and you will see that the domain nor myself has anything to do with it. The domain has since been dropped.
by Baltahzar
Why is it no suprise that these criminals are behind another scheme? God only knows when they will finally get busted. It will be a happy day for the internet when they finally go down. A lot less people will get scammed.
by BKTGSuxDikks
Are these maggots still in business?
Shame on me - - - I didn’t mean business if’n ya consider organized crime and money laundering for ponzi schemes business!!??!!
!!! WTF, these Krassszzy Krassys-steiny kids are from New Jersey ain’t they ? Maybe they got ties to the Soprano family and gonna pop a cap in my ass for disin them ?????
by C4G
@Brian, why didn’t you do a search about Idetrorce before registering the domain if that’s the case? You’d think somebody experienced in domain speculation would figure out that hot keywords in “Google Trends” that don’t have the .com registered might have a reason why…
hmmm… Just one too many coincedences Brian, eventually after a while excuses after excuses piled upon excuses just don’t cut it anymore. Your hands are so dirty, you’ll never be able to wash them clean.
btw, is this what a Rutgers education teaches you? To scam the scammers and fuck everybody out of a dollar, then have your pathetic mods at your forum shelter you by banning anybody who points a finger back at TG ?
I think many people have seen through the games you have going on over there at Talkgold and are starting to wise up that it’s actually your team that has been operating the majority of these ponzi schemes for the better part of three years now.
I know mrGSH has shown his true colors as part of the cycle and re-cycle you people are doing in launching programs and killing them. Also, your recent addition of “ponzi whore extreme” Gail (aka TDinoz) has seriously lost any crumbs of credibility and self respect TG had left.
by Spitfried-Da-Retard-O
I like when you said “while others claim it is the work of a geek who forgot to include their link when spamming”
Has me wondrin maybee Brian hired Spit-O-Retard-O to man the bot attack
by Spitfried-Da-Retard-O
I wonder if Spitty-Boy–retardo-Lives-With-Mom-And-Dad is reding tha discussin? If your here Spitty-Boy, speak up you cowerdly retard.
Hey Retard-O, who’s gonna pay for your high school reunion this year? Idetrorce ??? bwahhhaha bwaaaahhh
by Brian K
Dave, Just wondering, what happened since that phone conversation where you called me at my house, telling me that you respected what I was doing. I’m a promoter of Ponzi schemes now? I provided a place for 5 years for people to discuss internet investment programs and decide for themselves if they are scams or not.
Why didn’t you check the whois information yourself instead of relying on some random guy at a website for your information. If you did, you would have seen that no one currently owns: Idetrorce.com, that include Me! Why should I have searched to see what it is about? Did it hurt anyone, owning that domain name? If so how? Maybe I would have used the domain for information about preventing the attacks…
I have nothing against you Dave, I think you are a descent guy, and I enjoy reading your blogs, but please try and look into things a little bit better before you go smearing my name and my families name all over the internet. Thats only fair.
Thank you
Brian
by Rob
This entire post is fabricated, or misinformed. Nobody owns that domain name. Why bother posting something if you don’t back it up with proof. It makes code4gold look like a joke. I love this blog, but when I see things posted smearing peoples names, lik you have with Brain, with baseless accusations it bothers me.
by Anthony
This entire post is one big fabrication? They are not scammers, they run a forum where they let people discuss scams. Thats a big difference? Sick of seeing peoples names drug through the dirt. The brothers have both saved hundreds of people from scams, rather then being scammers. Just because they sold an ad to a scam in the past doesn’t mean they are scammers, this very site used to have the same exact ads.
by C4G
Fabrication? Read comment #2 above from Brian himself where he admits to buying the domain.
Also, Please tell me how Brian and Eddie have “saved hundreds from scams” with TalkGold.com?? I guess those ads for “Riding the Ponzi” with Brian’s clickbank hoplink - edbri871 - is there to “save the newbies” so they can learn how to profit from ponzi schemes?
You’re double comments here are the only thing that are a fabrication.
by Rich
I’ve been scammed by Brain Krassenstein and his brother Eddie.
They stole my two domain names :
Zmul.com
GJRF.com
These names are still stolen and in the hands of the Krassensteins. I really hope these two get what is coming to them. ASAP.
by C4G
It’s not suprising, Brian and Eddie Krassenstein are a two man internet crime wave. Look at their forum (www.talkgold.com/forums/) and tell me that place isn’t a scammers den like the shadowcrew forums were? In fact, it’s rumoured that several ex-shadowcrew members still frequent Talkgold forums. The forum is nothing but a haven for scammers promoting ponzi and pyramid schemes and countless people have been ripped off there. Anybody who was ever a member there would be disgusted that the US government has yet to shut that cesspool down.
Here’s a bunch of complaints about the Krassenstein Crime Wave…

Of course Brian will defend himself against me and say I was banned from Talkgold because I used “foul language” albeit in an area called the Warzone where supposedly anything goes. Just look at those threads I posted and see how many times Brian and Eddie have been “wrongly accused”. Fool me one time…You know the drill… Can’t be that many people are wrong against these scamming brothers.
Brain and Eddie are bigtime domain speculators. Read the second comment on this article from Brian himself where he admits he owned the domain. Also read the Digg thread where I got the information from. They have also been busted spamming and they now run TeamEarners.com which is nothing but a pyramid scheme in disguise.
by AmitPatel
I know this guys of talkgold forum are bad scammers but I did not know they steal domain names and spam like this.
Shame they do not get put to jail
by Notjomommasmomma
Sorry, Brian, nobody’s going to buy your innocence!!
YOU have claimed many times that YOU allow “freedom of speech” at TG but your forum is full of flaming, name calling, hate, and biitter slander and YOU tolerate this and even defend it.
YOU talk about how YOU hate scams and yet YOU allow obvious scams to advertise in your forum. YOU do,and YOU should, bear some accountability for that. We’ve all heard your excuses for that, but it don’t float.
I think you’re a pathetic little liar.
by rich
I have spoken with Ed on the phone and we have come to an agreement that we were both possibly scammed.
Ed was very nice and polite over the phone and seems like a good guy. There are some things that both of us did wrong, me posting my findings and thoughts before calling him, and him buying someone elses whole GoDaddy account, and using Egold (a known haven for scammers).
The transfer has worked.
The names GJRF.com and ZMUL.com are now back to the true owner, they are now in my account.
Thank you for working with me and I will post everywhere that I have received the domain names and that it seems to be a misunderstanding.
I am sorry for any problems I have caused you and I regret having to deal with you in this manner.
If anyone else has names that were scammed away from them, that ended up in Brian or Ed’s name, I suggest that you call them and try to work something out.
Best Wishes,
Rich

To me it looks like a lot of inuendo and conspiracy thoeries here in order to get traffic to your sites. Brian purchased 3 domains from me in the last 6 months well over $xx,xxx each in value, and each deal went perfect. In fact I accidently transfered him one of my domains valued in the $5-6000.00 range and he immediately let me know of my error. The guys honest and if anyone really looks into the garbage being posted they would clearly see its a bunch of so called facts based around links to sites which are known themselves to harbor thieves and scammers.
It’s pathetic that some of you reply here with garbage, and no proof of anything just to try and get a few hits to your fake scam websites.
- Robin Cotex
by C4G
Yeah right… Robin Cotex??? What will be the next name you use here? Max E. Padd ??? Are you aware that you are admitting that you accepted funds that were skimmed from illegal ponzi and pyramid schemes that are advertised at Talkgold.com forums ?
Show us the proof of the domains in the $xx,xxx range — I searched Google for your “name” and of course there were no available references to “Robin Cotex” in Google. If you think anybody is going to buy your shill work here without factual proof of what you’re saying is true, you’re a real dunce.
by Hijinx
Hey there Mrs Robin Cotex ,,,(eeerm, Imean Brian Krassenstein) do you have femanine hygene problems? Just what d’ya think the Krassenstein brothers do with their websites that is any diffrent than what C4G does???? All websites want hits you douche.
Ever hear of pips?
Talkgold forum milked that whole plaid out scam for hits up the wazoo and They milked 12DP in 2006 for every hit they could strangle out from it. not any diffirence from what C4Gs doing here and whatever the Krassensteins do — at least C4G’s not trying to say he’s antiscam while selling ads to scammers and screwing over his followers.
I gather those links to forums talk about Brian Krassenstein and his shady ways are all lies too ? You crack me up dog.

by Andy
Wrong He purchased stolen domain names, clearly they were not his. He refunded my money promptly and we worked everything out. I over reacted initially, but after seeing the whois history it was pretty clear that he had purchased at least my domain from the real theif. Once again I’m sorry for over reacting about this. Brian was very polite and dealt with things in a respectable manner.
by Terry Maggert
Something just doesn’t sit right with this story of stolen domain names.
#1) If Brian and Eddie did buy stolen domains with e-gold why didn’t the theif just keep their e-gold and not transfer the domains?
#2) Brian has not shown any factual evidence of this alleged theif who sold him the domains. He has not shown a thread where the theif had them listed? What did this guy do? Just approach Brian on Talkgold and offer them to him?
#3) How did this theif get the domains from the original owners? Surely nobody is stupid enough to transfer a domain before payment is made. In that case, there would be a record in Paypal of who really made the purchase.
Seems to me Brian was in posession of the stolen domains and faced with the fact he was caught red handed he turned the domains over because of all the ruckus that was being made here and on all the forums.
I have been following Brian Krassenstein’s lies for over 4 years now and he is one slippery little critter. Whenever he gets caught red handed he buys or lies his way out.
Where theres smoke theres fire and if it looks like a scam, walks like a scam and talks like a scam, it must be a scam.
by Pass the Buck
Is Brian Krassenstein possibly Stephen M. Cohen who was busted for stealing the domain sex.com back in 1995 and supposedly fled to Mexico ??
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_M._Cohen
They are both running on a parallel course with a great number of scams under their belts. I wouldn’t doubt it if Brian Krassenstein is really a fake name because he’s used the name Brian Berg in the past. Look at this aboutus Wiki that says both Eddie and Brian Berg.
http://www.aboutus.org/TalkGold.com
Who is Adam Staley and Geoffrey Summit? Those must be some more fake names these guys dreamed up.
Anybody in doubt, look at this post on his own forum. Hurry before he deletes the thread
http://www.talkgold.com/forum/r71836-.html
Heres what it says
“THis does not surprise me in the least. They board is run by criminals who will all be under the jail very soon for promoting illegal investment opportunties. I have talked to authorities very explicity about TalkGold, the fact the owner ackowledges he knowingly advertises scams. Brian should know I have transcrpts of all conversations we had where he admitted such. They were salivating. Hope TG is ready for what’s to come!
And please, someone copy and paste this there at TG and let Brian know how willing I am to tell the law enforcement world about them and their lovely partner in crime, Mr. Minkow.
In fact, I think the WallStreet journal will be interested to know that a Mr. Minkow’s invstigation was funded by illegal money from Talkgold. That makes Mr. Minkow look real clean doesn’t it. “
Barry Minkow is a convicted scammer turned evangelist and scam fighter. It’s funny how people link these things up but it’s even funnier how Talkgold and Brian are at the center of so many controversys.

[…] months left on his domain registration. Any bets as to whether this domain gets renewed ?? Hopfully Brian Krassenstein of TalkGold forums doesn’t read this post because next thing you know we’ll be seeing […]
by Sandy
I found that a really interesting post. They should arrest this guy and put him in jail where he belongs.
by Hijinx
I think he is already on the run from the law. If not he should take a lesson that all the ponzis he promotes are illegal and he can be charged with criminal negligence for allowing them to be advertised at his sites.
by Terry Maggert
So any word on how and why those stolen domains ended up in Krassenstein’s posession? The whole story sounds fishy to me.
by Fraudwatcher
Its an absolute disgrace the actions of these brothers.

I made an Interview with an Brian Krassenstein, to explain some doubts and slander about Brian Krassenstein the person which came in the last time:
Question 1: Brian Krassenstein, you, as the leader of Talkgold forum and with more than 100,000 members and 14,500+ subscriptions, what is your goal?
Well, as many people are unaware, Our parent company sold talkgold back in November of 2008, however I have still remained on for the time being as the forum manager. As part of the current management team, I know the owners are looking to expand the core discussion of talkgold into just about every online money making field there is. This will happen over the next 12-18 months.
Question 2: What features do you plan to add to make your forum more attractive to your members?
There will be new folders added in the coming money, as we try and direct Talkgolds attention into a more stable atmosphere. We will try and give away more cash prizes in our cash folder, as well as team up with some of the more lucrative affiliate programs out there to give members some opportunities of their own.

Don’t make me laugh… You are engaged in criminal activities and you are sticking your nose in places it doesn’t belong. If you think your actions are helping Brian Krassenstein out, all you did was make Brian Krassenstein look more like the criminal he is.
Let’s face it, Brian is a US citizen, he knows that being involved in ponzi schemes is illegal. I don’t care how many domains he owns, how much he gives to charity or how much in taxes he hasn’t declared. The fact is he will be sharing a cell with Lou Perlman in a federal penitentary.
Granted, most people who get involved with Hyip and Surf are ignorant as to their legalities but Brian has had 5 years running Talkgold to realize what he is doing is illegal.
Also, the Polish government frowns upon those who promote ponzi schemes. You should lock your doors and hide in the closet before they haul you off to Polish prison.

I have nothing to hide, if you edit my post like previous it means that you have sth to hide.
I didn`t make this interview to help particular person but to explain why people accuse him. If his answers are not interesting for you, just do not read, in my opinion everyone should get chance to refer to accusations.
Polish goverment is in opposite to manage hyip programs, but not to talking or investing in them, so your accusations are without grounds. You accuse me but you break the law when you make me publish my ip details without my permission, so look first into your own eyes before you will accuse somebody…

Nice try kid. Your IP address point to Warsaw, Poland not to an AOL account from Reston, VA ? You’re not going to use this blog to cast links to your shady hyip promotion service.
Save the rhetoric for somebody who cares. Your ethics are obviously clouded from long hours spent drinking the hyip laced Kool-Aid at Brian Krassenstein’s Talkgold forum. I’ll tell you one more time… You’re not going to convince anybody here that you are right and that Brian Krassenstein isn’t a willing collaborator with some of the biggest scammers on the internet.

Hi. I just happened to read this piece because I came to read the Reverse Funnel system review on this blog because I was worried it was a ponzi scheme. The comments on this piece are very interesting and paint a telling picture of this Brian Krassenstein guy as a one man internet crime wave.
I had a look at his site at Talkgold.com and I can’t believe they are advertising ponzi schemes so openly in public and the authorities haven’t shut it down. Unbelievable. I saw ads for schemes offering to pay 150% of your investment in 3 days. Holy moley, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that those are nothing but scams.
If you Google for the name Brian Krassenstein, there are a lot of phony forum threads with 1 post wonders saying thank you to Brian Krassenstein for saving my e-bullion, e-gold, forex… you name it and there’s somebody with one single post on a forum thanking him for it. It’s not hard to see he’s trying to cover something up.
Good journalism on both pieces. This one and the Reverse Funnel piece which saved me from even thinking of putting $3000 of my hard earned money into that scheme.
by The Truth Will Out
Brian Krassenstein is nothing but a big liar who wouldn’t know the truth if it bit him in the arse. Here is a another lie that proves Brian Krassenstein’s aversion to the truth. This is from the Talkgold blog :
———–
For all of you who have helped me over the last 4 years, thanks. Talkgold was a heap of fun to run but I have to admit there were a lot of seemingly bi-polar people involved. One minuet they were your best friend the next they are making up stories posting them all over the place. Anyway, Krassenstein TDM Domains is finally incorporated in the state of Florida and we will be hiring a few people to manage some domain parking portfolios shortly.
———–
This is yet another bold faced lie. There is not nor ever has been a corporation registered in the state of Florida with the name TDM domains, nor is their any corporation registered in the name of Brian Krassenstein. If you do not believe me, you can search for yourself for free :
http://www.sunbiz.org/corinam.html
Once again this proves that Brian Krassenstein is covering up the fact that he is still the owner of Talkgold and that there IS NO Akmed who purchased the site.
If the site were truly purchased, why would Brian’s Yahoo ads with Partner ID: 9677956620 and Clickbank ads with his edbri871 ID still be on a site he doesn’t own ?
Don’t forget that Brian Krassenstein has a loyal following of mongrels from Indonesia, India and Ukraine who will post anything to make him look good for a few quid of Liberty Reserve.

Hi! The post is really interesting! I’ve read your blog and can say it’s a good job.
