comment GDCA Warning Against E-Bullion Breeds Strange Bedfellows

Filed under: Financial News, Digital Currencies — C4G @ 8:16 pm

GDCA AccreditedPerhaps you’ve been to a website that displayed the GDCA accreditation logo pictured here at the the left. The GDCA accredited logo, which is meant to assure consumers that the site they are doing business with has been issued this logo because of satisfactory business practices. Although the issuer of these accreditation logos has no ties to any world governmental agencies. They have no “official” status in the financial community, the gold markets or any other affiliation of merit to lend validity to these accreditation logos they distribute except their own “self-proclaimed” authority. Many of you may also be familiar with the organization known as GDCA aka Gold Digital Currrency Association (http://www.gdcaonline.org) and the fact that they have recently issued a warning to E-Bullion users in July 2007, calling upon E-Bullion customers to abandon the processor in lieu of allegations that E-Bullion has frozen accounts . Exerpt below…

Exerpted from : http://www.gdcaonline.org/content/news.html

Due to numerous unanswered complaints, the Global Digital Currencies Association would like consumers and merchants to be aware that E-bullion.com closes and/or freezes accounts without any court order or reasonable justification, sometimes freezing customer funds forever.

This unscrupulous policy makes E-bullion an unfavorable system for online commerce and for the safe and secure storage and transfer of funds.

We recommend that E-bullion account holders switch to a different digital currency immediately in order to avoid frozen accounts and loss of funds, such as:

  • GoldMoney - www.goldmoney.com
  • Pecunix - www.pecunix.com
  • Liberty Reserve - www.libertyreserve.com
  • c-gold - www.c-gold.com
  • PhoenixDollar - www.phoenixdollar.com

While many people find the reputation of GDCA to be an authority in the industry, a controversy has recently been unveiled by Mark Herpel at Digital Money World. In an very diplomatic, open letter to GDCA published on his blog Open Letter To The GDCA Regarding e-Bullion, Mark asks the GDCA for factual proof to the allegations regarding E-Bullion freezing accounts. If there is one person in this industry I truly have respect for and enjoy his take on prominent issues, it’s Mark and DMW. In the past I’ve exchanged opinions with him on a variety of topics and I’ve always found his approach to be based on intelligent research and facts before fiction.

The reason this blog post has the “Strang Bedfellows” tacked on at the end of the title is due to the discovery, on Mark’s blog, that the President of is none other than Robert, the owner of C-Gold, and owner of Cyfro Associates who is an anonymous web-hosting company based out of Malaysia that has harboured numerous scammer’s websites in the past and currently hosts Andy from XLO’s fraud CyberSpaceAtm payment processor. Although I have heard a complaint regarding E-Bullion freezing an account that was making a big out-exchange to GoldEx, it turned out the complaintant had been operating a frudulent HYIP program and was trying to get his hand on his ill gotten gains when froze the account, requesting identification information from the fraudster. Otherwise, I have not heard any allegations regarding E-Bullion from honest people who were accessing funds that were not obtained through fraudulent measures.

The fact that GDCA, and their President who is owner of (see my C-Gold article here C-Gold : New Gold Based E-Currency or Hoax ?), especially take note of the comments section where “Robert” claims to not know how an program works, yet he is the President of GDCA, owns C-Gold and has been the domain registrar of both of scammer Andy’s autosurf programs. You may also have seen Andy openly stating on ASAMonitor.com forums that his new program XLOTwo *is* a and his choice of hosting in is to avoid any closure by the US Department of Justice.

Call it coincedence, call it what you will, but I call it Strange Bedfellows, and now that it’s been exposed, I must fully warn any of my blog readers from relying on GDCA information and/or from using C-Gold. It’s more than a conflict of interest, it’s a vested interest of the worst kind.

Editors note: At time of writing this article it appears C-Gold.com website has disappeared.

Thanks to C4G for this useful info. We certainly cannot rely on
GDCA information, now that we know the President is the owner of c-gold.

It doesn’t surprise me that C-Gold.com website has disappeared.

Okay, I just read Mark’s entry. I just put two and two together. All this comes down to the thing with AutoCambist. AC’s E-Gold accounts where seized by the US government. Seems like EBullion froze their account as well. Put the two together? I believe the feds are in control of AC’s EBullion account as well.

The feds haven’t released any data on E-Bullion, if they did it would already be public knowledge. The accounts frozen by E-Bullion were scammers account who refused to verify their information.

@lala - Do you know what a browser cache is ? That’s what your looking at. C-gold site is still down…

    I’m getting…

    Unable to connect
Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at c-gold.com.

Nah, just a conclusion in what I read and adding two and two together like a private eye gathering clues together. It is fun to put puzzles together. ;)

I’ve even tried using Lynx browser from my server, two common “MySpace” proxies the kiddies use and three different browsers and the C-Gold site isn’t working for me. Wow, talk about instilling confidence in your users. E-Gold was never down this long. It’s been over three days now. Wonder where Robert is to comment ?

Hi Dave here is a post I read on one of the forums from c-gold I have had no trouble moving around that site the last few days using https:/c-gold.com a few sites gotddossed to some extent this week c-gold pecunix and v-money were 3 LGE experienced some prior to that according to their site
hope this helps you get in.
[QUOTE=cyberica.net]We got DDoSsed about half an hour after I suggested c-gold.com as an alternative here. Interestingly, so did several other currencies, apparently.
https works right now, and we are putting together a gateway under c-gold.ws in a few hours. The main problem is that c-gold is till hosted on the staging server of the developers. Once the site is complete, it’ll be in a ddos hardened data center with pipebreadth to burn and backups in several countries.

He is still over there at cattyShaq forum tearing down E-Gold some more, and making a lot of excuses. One he said that his site is under a DDOs attacked. Since he also host HYIPs and ponzi autosurfs on the same servers as C-Gold.

Gee spit do you really believe they have only one server lolol You think these guys have only been in business 2 minutes and don’t know how to make sure all their dots are crossed correctly?

Exactly who is e-gold in 2007? thats the thing Most everyone still wishes e-gold itself well I don’t wish those that have it by the “b…..s well.
Then there is the level of stupidity of a certain percent of e-gold users. Which you can see on certain Public forums lately. These users are not doing much of a favor for e-gold. Actually its like ammunition for the other side.

Some of the crap posted on public forums lately is beyond insanity , Vultures that will do just about anything for a few bucks Open bulk e-gold accs buy bulk old e-gold accs, Offer to move funds from blocked accs , the list goes on. the 3rd one is kinda funny when you can move your funds yourself

PS C-gold still working fine at my end not missing not invisible not disappeared ;)

Liberty Reserve up too and not a bad choice either

I don’t know about GDCA conflict with E-bullion.
But now, E-bullion is getting unpopular at:
    Better Business Bureau
    http://www.santabarbara.bbb.org/BBBWeb/Forms/Business/CompanyReportPage_Expository.aspx?CompanyID=92000035
    and Get F rank.

Yeah, it does seem E-Bullion has a bad rating with the BBB but that still doesn’t change the fact that the people behind GDCA and C-Gold are a bunch of scammers.

E-Gold is definitely a bust in my opinion as well. For my online transactions I’ll stick with V-Money and Webmoney.

E-bullion freezes only scammers’ accounts. It seems that GDCA isn’t true in their allegations against the E-bullion.

I have been an e bullion customer for over a year now and I have never had a problem in or outexchanging any monies check have come right to my house no problem I send my monies to fund my accounts they get there with no problem. However these allegations as of late do kind of bother me. I have suggested to a few companies who use e-gold as a primary funding option to offer e-bullion because of the bad publicity surrounding e-gold and yeah I hate e gold. Its too much work to fund an e gold account you go to your bank to send bank wires they are all in your business think that your in a scam or something. Its much easier to me to go with e-bullion so far so good havent had many problems, however I would like to see how this thing shakes out. I hope that I can get my money out of e bullion once my accounts mature. I agree with TonyM as well I have called them before during business hours and got the same message he got and Im in the US. After that I still got my money sent to the right accounts so I was happy. I just need to be able to get it out of there. Hope this whole thing is just a misunderstanding or something. Please keep us posted.
