I’ve been using Hostgator for over a year now. Never had any of the problems mentioned by anyone here. Everything has been great. Live support is magnificent. Not sure where everyone here’s getting this BS from. It’s probably competitors.

This is similar to complaints I have heard from few other people too. I personally have had no problems with Hostgator. But I do think Hostgator SHOULD implement warning system when traffic gets high before suspending an account.

Yeah, Hostgator sucks. They suspended my hosting account for no reason at all and then tried to get me to send them copies of my personal documents such as passport, ID and a copy of the credit card I used to sign up. I have requested a refund from them and if they refuse to issue it, I will chargeback. If you’ve had a problem with them just call your bank and dispute the charges.

Does Brent Oxley still own this company? One of my clients has had a LOT of trouble with Hostgator right from the begining. (Funny you should say something about being cheated of affiliate commissions, mine never materialized either. However, that’s another story). I’m trying to find out more about this company and who owns it, who to contact there that can get something done. I’m tired of being fobbed off and jerked around.

host gator support stinks.

always get a hard time in my 2 calls to the.
infact they play phone games, i called in, pressed option 2 for support was in q for like 10 mins till i got to be number 1 in q, then someone picked up the phone did not say nothing and put it on dold. i called in on another line while first line was still on hold and that 2nd line was answered first after like 10 mins while the first kine still was not answered after over 30 mins.
