I signed up for webmoney and when I went to withdraw they say that they only allow a wire transfer of atleast $10,000 dollars. However they say if its less than that they I should use another website (link given on their withdraw page). This website was totally in Russian. so now I'm stuck with $30 in an account with no hopes of getting it back.

If anyone can help me I will truly appreciate it.

To be frank, I have no issues with the security on Webmoney, don't worry about it. It's a very good service.

I've been looking for a service that provides true anonymity. How does this compare to other on-line merchants in this respect?

Webmoney is is decent but what about scam/fraud protection? Often people or businesses that want this are involved in some ponzi scheme. Gotta watch out.

Hadn't heard of WebMoney until now, will definitely check it out. Would be nice to have an alternative to paypal. A friend of mine sold a mixing board on ebay recently and had a nightmare of a time when the buyer reported it damaged.
