comment Paypal and Autosurfs : A Losing Combination

and

It’s a given, must of us with e-gold accounts do not trust paypal to begin with. Paypal has made a history of allowing merchants to accept charges for their products and services and when Paypal decides that their TOS has been violated, they arbitrarily freeze the merchants funds for 180 days pending investigation leaving the merchant to fufill orders while Paypal is holding the funds. Before I get to how paypal is connected with the autosurfs, I’ll give an example of Paypal’s actions. A professor friend of mine who teaches “Human Sexuality” has run a successful non-profit website pertaining to erectile dysfunction that has been on the internet since 1996 with over 10,000 visitors per week. I did the initial site layouts and the site was professional, non spam, non adult, and website has always been free, and is factual and medical based but the cost of running the webserver added up and my friend decided to start accepting donations via paypal. Paypal allowed over $7000 worth of donations over 8 months and rather than transfer the funds to his bank account, he left them in Paypal because he had a Paypal debit card and considered his money safe with Paypal. One day, Paypal decided to freeze his account claiming the website violated Paypal’s TOS and he would have to wait 180 days for a full Paypal invstigation into the matter.

To digress…
Paypal is not a government sanctioned morality enforcement agency, Paypal is an intermediary and has no jurisdiction over how or where funds are transferred through it’s system. Funds do not originate in Paypal as they do with your bank account, funds are transferred “through” Paypal. You can not walk up to your local Paypal branch office and make a cash deposit as you can with your bank. A bank is a financial institution because they provide interest on the money you hold with them, Paypal does not. Paypal has been acting out of order and been illegally freezing and holding assests for years now, and when they hold funds for 180 days for investigation, they do not return the money with interest. I think paypal needs to be stopped and shut down or at least punished for their actions. Furthermore, anybody who has ever actively traded on e-bay well knows Paypal’s “Buyer Protection” is a farce and borderline fraudulent itself.

The Tie in…
Autosurfs and paypal are a touchy issue. Paypal has allowed autosurfs to accept funds for quite a while now, and has allowed several of them to grow quite large. , , TotalRune, DadNDaves to name a few, and each one has experienced their accounts being frozen. How each autosurf handled the matter is entirely different. TotalRune and DadNDaves both opted to refund their Paypal surfers via e-gold. Hats off to both Dave and Paul (admin of TR) for taking that option. It won them a lot of support. The admin of MyDollarSurf took a different route. He let it get to him and told everybody to file a chargeback with Paypal and he would approve each refund, and even told members what to write in their Paypal complaint. That was a nasty trick, surfers got backstabbed by both Paypal and MyDollarSurf admin in the end. RollerCoasterSurf admin Steven, who also ran SamSurf decided to be a complete scumbag and not refund, and then attack members who attempted to get their money back. RCS admin blames Paypal openly on his site and claims everybody has to wait the 180 days until Paypal investigation if complete. Yeah, likely story. Incidentally, there was actually one (hyip-system) who was using and said Paypal had given the thumbs up because he’s located in Denmark. He got $25,000+ invested, and like magic, Paypal froze him, but he was professional and refunded from his frozen account and left his Paypal account with a zero balance.

Wrap it up…
Now back to the opening paragraph to wrap this up. After 180 days, my friend received a letter from Paypal stating they had completed the investigation and that they were refunding the $7000 in his Paypal account via check within 30 days. It ended up taking them 4 months, but close to one year after my friends account was frozen he received a check for his $7000 from paypal. If you think the admins of the autosurfs that accepted Paypal don’t know that their money will eventually be returned, you’re wrong. Again, I give credit to and for making sure they could cover their arses. MyDollarSurf admin will never give anybody a penny, and RCS admin will be serving time in jail over in England because he’s run one too many scams on the internet besides autosurfs and the authorities are already onto him. Martin, who runs hyip-system is still running strong using .

If you’re interested in a great autosurf program that is run by professionals who would like to keep the program
alive for as long as possible, check out Total Rune.
